He’s a Blue and was an integral part of our successes last season and I will always support him and want to see him doing well for his country. But last night he was an embarrassment (several other players were) and the wild and deliberate kick at the ball as it lay beside Rakitic’s head, born of frustration maybe, still stood out as a piece of sheer petulance and was malicious: no intention of putting boot to head but certainly of booting the ball at his head from point blank as the player lay on the ground. That sort of thing (imagine a Blue on the end of that!) can never be excused and does him no favours in the eyes of the vast majority of football fans, both partisan and neutral. Still, as they say, Rakitic had the last laugh. Karma can be a real woman, can’t it, Nico?
 
He should be ashamed of what he did last night. Terrible performance and even worse behaviour.

He needs to get off on holiday, calm down and look forward to getting back to the best team, and manager, in England.

Think it’s as simple as he has better players around him and a better manager.
