He knew he wasn’t catching him and only a foul > penalty> sending off would have prevented a shot. Good decision by the Generalissimo. Should always start in derby games.

Most of our better recent performances (Burnley, Leicester, tonight) have been with him and Fernandinho at the back.

He played very well but he messed up for their goal. It wasn't to do with his pace it was his positioning. He tried to defend it like it was a 2 v 1 but Ferna was right beside him and had a man so Ota should have stuck with Rashford and pushed him wider.

While he could have reacted to Rashford’s movement a bit quicker, it wouldn’t have been quick enough. He’s not at fault for that goal

Look at the goal again and see how Otamendi changed his direction while running back which gave Rashford more space.
