Otamendi sometimes doesn't get the respect he deserves, but god damn is our system so difficult. Our CBs have to be able to win 1 on 1s, and Otamendi is slow and causes mistakes every now and then from this.

His other "type" of mistake is spending too long on the ball when he wants to find the perfect pass out, which is a problem against high pressing teams.

Literally every other aspect of his game is perfect, which can't be said about Stones who can be a bit timid too often.

You’d rather a part-time Otamendi then, rather than the full-time one?

Had a decent game last night, but his run in the team during 17-18 was his peak and either side he’s been left wanting many times.

Ota has played his part but is too inconsistent to continue at City. Age is another thing to consider. Along with securing Garcia's future another Centre Back should be on the summer list.

He's passable when the opposition don't give him the opportunity to show what an utter moron he is.

Would rather play Garcia every time. His rash challenge could have gifted them the chance for pens - he is also not a leader and Kev's reaction to his challenge sums it up.

Probably the most Otamendi challenge of all time. Absolutely classic stuff right here:

I actually thought he did a lot right today. He made an absolutely great tackle at one point.

They had drifted past a couple of our midfielders with ease, he had to do something
