If the club let him go for less than 10, without an immediate player lined up to come in... we have dropped a massive bollock I'm afraid. He will go on to make 40+ appearances for Bayern next year and people will wonder why we sold him...

We have to sell him otherwise he goes on a free - he has apparantly said to City if they dont find a compromise he will sit out his contract and go on a free - if true and on that basis DJ need to be sold now sadly

The massive dropped bollock is on the part of City administrators not sorting out a fookin replacement which is fairly indicative of our transfer policy which is starting to look shambolic

I think we just need to have a little faith, I'm sure the Chairman/Marwood/Mancini will deliver. Lets face it we are trying to buy the best and that takes time, I'm sure they will do whats best for the club.

If rvp is getting sold for 15m as rumors say then 8m for nigel isn't bad. Would be nice to see a youth getting a chance like razak or abu but de rossi would be nice too..

Yes Nigel was aboard the Etihad Aircraft ahead of its destination to Beijing. And rightly so.

Glad to hear.. another bullshit shit stirring story then yesterday

I really do not want to see NDJ go at all, but £8M would be an absolute fucking joke - great player, great team and club man, and when you consider the kind of fees that other clubs receive for great players £8M would be utterly mad

8 million is actually a good price for a player with 1 year left on his contract. Clubs are bidding 15 for RVP.

Steady now - dont read too much into it - the first part of that report about Austria is boll!/cks so the rest may be too

Is it ok to quote myself ?
I think it's easy to spot all this boll/cks now. It's building to a frenzy at the moment - only question is, who's driving it ? Are they all on commission to sell Utd season tickets ?

Well De Jong needs to get his contract sorted sooner rather than latter. I would hate to lose him. He is 1 of the best at what he does and in the big European games he is a must need for me. Barry failed in midfield in the champions league and De Jong would be my main man for the Champions league games. He loves the club like Vinny and Zabba since all 3 came they have been great players to have and I would hate to see either 3 leaving the club.

Also Barry is what 32 or there abouts with a injury and his fitness levels being a bit iffy I would rather see De Jong staying on at the club at the expense of Barry who will be lucky to see a lot of football this season in my view.

Why do we never believe the press when we are linked with a player but always believe them when a player is about to leave? I have never ever been able to get this sorted, look at the fiasco over the Silva thread how many pages of drivel and wailing and gnashing of teeth before people realised he wasn't going. The only thing of concern is he is a player in his last year. From what I understand we have made him an improved offer but he hasn't agreed to it so the contract negotiations have stalled.

None of the euro players have gone on the trip! So it seems like there puttin 2&2 together and gettin 637547. Typical bullshit press! Oh an Dzeko isn't going either.

Would like to see DeJong stay but could he be one of the 'fans favourites' that might be going as we bring new players in?

Well Dzeko has an injury and De Jong returned from Euro 2012 early and was flown in for the Austria tour so I don't think that'd be a reason for his exclusion.

I haven't seen him in any of the City photos on Twitter yet but doesn't mean he isn't there.

Great squad member, would love to keep him.Looks like a quality character to have about too!

would be a shame to lose him especially going into the season with barrys injury, hopefully they can come to a resolution with his contract so he can stay.

He hasn't travelled to Beijing with the squad. Was out for a Meal with his wife lastnight as they guys were on the plane. He's off. Stupid move by us IMO.

Have any of the players who played at Euro 2012 gone on the trip?
