Just noticed there are NO fixtures for Easter this season. A FIFA decision I believe.

Doesn't seem that long ago we had a game on good Friday and then another game on easter Monday.

Seems an awful lot of bloody international breaks this season! No doubt when we underperform at the Euros it'll be blamed on too many games and the players being worm out so why keep adding these extra games

Same as normal I think. It's like this every year, feels like the season never properly gets going till December.

Pfft! I can remember teams playing Good Friday, Easter Saturday AND Easter Monday. A few lightweights played on the Tuesday instead of the Monday though.
67/68, I remember watching us play Chelsea at home on Good Friday and West Ham at home on the Saturday. The return match at Chelsea was on the Tuesday night, I assume Chelsea bottled out of playing on the Monday afternoon, and we lost too.

Can you imagine forking out £50+ two days on the bounce to watch City now? As a junior I doubt if those two home games cost me more than 7 bob including the programmes (35p to you spring chickens).

We used to play Christmas Day and Boxing Day double headers. Imagine playing Chelsea on away on Christmas day now, you would get a lot of moaning fans.

I noticed in Gary James' Complete Record that we played Plymouth home and away one year (can't remember which year).

And we reckon some of the fixtures nowadays are inconvenient for supporters.
