Arsehole of the first order but a very good player, you don't get to be Germany captain without skill.

He's 34 this year though, max of a 1 year deal if it happens, anything more is ridiculous

He's out of contract, it's not up to chelsea. Definitely take him if we can, he can do a job helping us get to the next level over the next season or two. We aren't good enough to say 'no thanks you old bastard' to players the class of Ballack, especially on a free transfer.
