Only saw the first half on telly, what struck me most was that whenever we got the ball we kept it on the deck. Hopefully a sign of things to come, I thought that two things had to change when Roberto came in, one was that we tightened up and the other was that we kept the ball better. Still a wee bit suspect at the back when you look at Tuncay's chance (though I thought Kompany looked fairly solid), but looked better at keeping the ball and utilising the midfield more. Didn't see the second half, but the game was effectively won in the first half, which was all that mattered

to be fair in the second half the 'hoof' crept back into our play.

but I'm with you, I loved it, a long overdue return to tactical passing football. I was impressed that he managed to impose such a change in style in a few days.

I take it you didn't see ANY of the game bizzbo :),by all means big the new man up it's not his fault what's gone on but that last sentence is let's say not quite how it was.

Givens balls were much better aswell, said it in the match day thread, his long throw to Petrov was outstanding. Made a nice change to his usual punt up fields.

Spot on, in just a few days a big improvement, I think they were getting tired the second half, hence a few hoofs. In a month we should be there 100%

gone.

Today you saw tactics and a manager that will bring success to this club. Considering injuries this was a great result with Barry, De-jong,Petrov and the whole of the back 4 class.
No hoofing, no panicking, slick passing and great energy and focuss for 95 minutes.
Mancini made great choices at the right times and then bollocked Robiniho for having a strop when he got subbed. He made it clear to the bench and the crowd he aint no idiot who will put up with sulking.
