North Korea prepares for war

Are they actually firm allies or is it just the Chinese being opportunistic? If very few countries are willing to deal with North Korea, those that do are in a very advantageous position.

This shit pisses me off, nearly everytime america wants to war someone we get brought into it to back them up.

screw them i would say, let america get on with it. Our troops and families have suffered enough bailing these clowns out.

Also a former us army general has said in the past the u.s. would be defeated by n.korea

North Korea would last about 2 weeks against a full blown conventional assault by the US.

No he hasn't, according to your link he said

"North Korea is the country most likely to involve the United States in a large-scale war."

Also, I'm highly skeptical of that report. It is hugely pro-NK without any sort of balance, it is on a website that is far from trustworthy, and finally, I cannot seem to find any information about this Center For Korean Affairs; who they are, where they are based, or how they gain their funding. In fact, this seems to be the only thing that they have ever released, and the author seems to have never released anything else.

Anyway, to the situation in hand. As with all of NK's activities, this is probably just posturing to gain further aid from the wealthier nations.

I think it's an English translation of a Korean document.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood.

Also within that link, it claims that NK has "several thousand nuclear weapons by now, including ICBMs". This would be news to them, who recently failed to get a missile over the Sea of Japan, let alone the Pacific.

Besides, the article is pretty old. It mentions F-14s, which were retired in 2006 and fails to mention B-2s or F-22s which will bomb NK back to the Stone Age.

Even a liberal estimate of 20 million ground troops are useless now. NK has been preparing for Vietnam, the rest of the world has moved on. Tunnel technology? See how it gets on against the more modern bunker busters.
