North Korea prepares for war

My understanding of the Korean situation isn't great, but I was previously led to believe that if NK even blink in the direction of South Korea, they will be wiped out pretty easily. I seem to remember that their artillery and military power is all old and many of the border weapons barely work.

Is this still a fair representation or am I off the ball on this?

EDIT : Obviously, this is ignoring the possibility of China getting involved, and I'm not exactly sure what gain they would get from doing so?

Oh ffs we really need to keep out of any war with n korea... we got enough on our plates with iraq, afghanistan and other places we have our troops.

N.korea have a fcuking huge army, some of their weapons/equipment might be dated but still a mean force. The north is also incredibly difficult to attack too.

Well they have ended all talks with South Korea and it was an attack on a South Korean sub that has caused all this. They have been testing nuclear weapons for quite a while. I'm not sure what they will do though as South Korea has USA on its side.

I don't think China will want a war so im not sure they will even help.
 
Just find out where Kim Jong-Il is, take him out then from there...wing it.

It can't be that hard surely?
 
China has an army of 200 million. I know it doesnt mean much if nuclear weapons are used but that is a massive army and they are an ally of North Korea.

Now estimated at 300 million mate, basically they could fight out army with fcuking mops and still win.
