Maybe the club and Sisk will invite some Blue Moon forum members to a tour of the North stand development in the future? Or do the Open Doors Construction next year? https://opendoors.construction/

Many thanks to Women in Property North West for the opportunity to attend the site tour at the North Stand Extension project in Manchester.

As a local resident, I’ve watched the project’s progress daily from the outside, but it was incredibly insightful to gain an internal perspective and learn more about the plans, challenges, and the positive impact on the local community.

Women in Property North West enjoyed blue skies in Manchester this morning while visiting the development of North stand.

Thanks to John Sisk & So Ltd, particularly Glenda Pickersgill and the staff who joined us to share their experience of the Early Careers Programme. It was great to hear the positive feedback from the female apprentices.

We also heard how Sisk manage social value and this incredible project, which will

Increase the stadium to 30,000 capacity, with a 3000 capacity fan zone, club shop, hotel, museum, roofwalk and food outlets.. with just a few fixtures, fans, tourists and coop live concerts next door to take into concideration. 800 operatives expected on site by Jan

Such an interesting visit. Thanks for organising Rachel Cunliffe

I was going to go, but I’ve not got a spare £895. :-(

We are delighted to announce Danny Wilson, Managing Director – Manchester City Operations, as a keynote for TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit #TDS24.

With the club’s £300m expansion of City’s stadium well underway, Danny will share the evolution of Etihad Stadium and Campus, the club’s continued investments across this evolving destination and how a ‘fans first’ strategy is at the heart of all developments.

“Since 2008, City Football Group has overseen over £700million of investment in East Manchester,” explains Wilson. “And this expansion speaks to our ambition to develop a world-class entertainment destination at the Etihad Campus.”

The latest project will increase the stadium’s capacity to more than 60,000, and a new 3,000-capacity fan zone, club shop, 400-bed hotel, new club shop, and museum will further establish Manchester City’s matchday experience as one of the best in the world of sports.

The new North Stand sits opposite the recently opened Co-op Live arena, a joint venture between City Football Group and Oak View Group. Above the upper tier of the expanded stand, a sky bar and stadium roof walk will give fans a unique view of the pitch and Manchester’s skyline.

“This project has been designed with our fans at its heart and demonstrates our commitment to creating one of the most memorable fan experiences in world sport. Fans will have the opportunity to extend their match day by joining us at the new covered fan zone, visiting the museum, or staying at the hotel,” explains Wilson. “I look forward to sharing the project’s vision with international colleagues at this year’s Design & Development Summit.”
