North Stand Construction Discussion

I'm not a fan of the bricks, mortor and brickwork in the photos. I can only guess it was inspired by the Maine Road turnstyles just before demolition. It may look better in context once construction is complete. Overall the development is imposing and impressive.
It’s a nod to Manchester’s heritage of red brick mills

I stand corrected.

To my knowledge nobody has slagged SISK off or blamed them for the odd wonky finish. People just pick up on those things from the drone videos. The wonky roof was fixed eventually. The rumour is that City and Sisk watch the drone videos as they give City and Sisk a valuable insight into how the construction is going from the air, which they can watch for free instead of paying a drone company to do that on a regular basis. That aside, I think people just want to stand to be right out of pride in the North stand redevelopment. The odd grumble has been minimal compared to all the positive and interesting talk and posts about the North stand redevelopment.
Anyone in the Wonky Brigade spotted this, I'm betting there was a clash with the Girder coming into the side and it had to be lifted. Hopefully the Screen company has been told.....

If and when I go to the Etihad, before my body fails me completely, I will try to get a hotel room, maybe even one with a pitch view. It might be a Carabao Cup game which won’t be a sell-out, maybe a 75th birthday celebration. That is my dream. Frankly I don’t give a fuck about the brickwork.

Don't think the hotel rooms that look onto the pitch will be used as hotel rooms on match days. Based on what is stated in the approval.

All depends on the how the perpendicular junction attaches, but will no doubt need picked up for the screen fixings.

Unlike those facing the pitch in the Hilton at MK Dons stadium then.
I know because I slept in one of theirs the night MK Dons played Sheffield Wednesday in an FA Cup replay there on 15th Jan 2013 - I was one of the 6,786 attendance because even though I was there for work in MK that day, I did buy a ticket but watched the game in their Red Dot Club Seats rather than looking out the Hotel Room Patio Doors!
