i dont know to be honest. northampton will never do anything and im sure if you were a fan of a lower league team then you would probably have a premier league team that you follow. its a bit sad that the club shop sell other shirts though. in an ideal world the people of northampton would walk around with local shirts on but thats not how it works mate.

I know Northampton are hardly the biggest club in the world, but what gets me is why they're selling shirts of other clubs in the official NTFC shop.

I'd of thought it was obvious? To make more money and improve their team. Slightly unorthodox but if it leads to them bringing more money in and subsequently the team improving then its worth it.

it's obviously a popular stop off for the rags travelling up to trafford to watch a game,

they probably give discounted jellied eels with the half shandies, ......very strange, probably being so close to france?

WHY?

I`ve been a City fan for over 40 years, lived in Northampton all my life, I wear City shirts.

I am aware of Rag comparisons, but if you had to support your local team, you would alienate a lot of Blues, who follow City from outside Manchester.

a lot of league 2 teams arent exactly financially kosher and the recession hit them hard. they need to make money however they can.

its just that our cobblers, are not the best,in that department, many towns people are not happy with it,but what can you do?? oh an by the way ....jellied eels??? mate you need to have a look at a map,we are a long way from being cockneys, ffs show your ignorance!

an yes theres loads of telly rags, down here, even more telly tourists of chelski, but theres also quite a few blues, who have made themselves known.....

but then again we are not allowed to be city fans are we????

no offense intended mate, if everyone did support there local sides it would certainly be better for the smaller clubs anyway. when you think of some one not supporting there local team you normally think of kids who wear united or chelsea shirts just because they are winning things. obviously you get exceptions such as yourself.
