Norwich were up for it that day had a bit of a run at the back of the special probably the only time I've seen them mob up(pre match ) I was on the specialGreat day out, nice and hot, beers by the river, won 2-1 David Cross header. Going home on the train got booted off at a place called Ely. Don't remember much after that. Happy days.
Correct the Luton game was horrendous remember getting back to Piccadilly station looking for Luton only to meet up with the Wimbledon team who I think dicked Bury to promotion a long time ago correct me if I'm wrong ( ps I've not worn my fawn /beige suite since it wouldn't fit me anyway) or my brothel creapers fuck off pleatLoving all these stories guys. Yes I was at the '76 match too, I think for the 82/83 one I went on the service train so missed the trouble with the special. Also remember the 6-1 win against Norwich at Stamford Bridge in the 2nd replay League Cup tie. City had the Shed terrace, pissed it down all night, crowd was about 6,000 and we still had about twice as many as Norwich and they didn't have as far to travel. They had a go I think the special arrival was on time with them exitiing the pubs in the town centre first went there in 76 for the vikings 0 2 win Kidd and Royal happy days
