Whilst most people are mightily pissed off with today's performance and surrendering being top of the table to United, let's have a bit of perspective please.

We have Newcastle at home, Bournemouth at home, United away and Norwich at home in our next 4 PL games.

United have Arsenal away, Everton away, Us at home and Palace away.

Arsenal have United at home, Watford away, Everton at home and Swansea away.

We win our games, which we really should do, we can open a decent gap at the top of the league.

Then factor in that we should be getting our key players back and settled then we really could be in an ominous position.

Dislike this attitude to be honest, how people still think you can predict easy games in the PL is beyond me. This is a Newcastle team who are going to be pumped up to get a result after their start, as shown against Chelsea today where they should have won. A Bournemouth side who have had a decent start to the season & will be well up for a game against a team like City, A United side who (like it or not) look fairly solid at the back & are top of the league in good form. And a Norwich side who've had a great start and almost scored as many as us. On top of that we've got a horrible injury crisis & are struggling to score or keep clean sheets with all the changes that are happening.

One game at a time & each one will be tough, people were saying before the West Ham game "how many will we win in a row, 17, 18?" - look what happened, turned into how many will we go without a win.

Get our players back fit & put 100% in against Newcastle has to be the focus.

If any team has aspirations of winning the league then beating the likes of Newcastle, Norwich and Bournemouth at home is a must.

There were threads like this before West Ham. "If we win our next 5 games and all our rivals lose theirs, the league will look amazing." The league doesn't look amazing.

You would likely have added West Ham to that list a couple of weeks ago, yet would you say we're out of the title race because we didn't? I'm saying it's crazy to just say "we will probably win those", we've been a team for a few seasons now who've consistently dropped points to relegation bound teams or newly promoted sides.

One game at a time for me, Monchengladbach are the focus, anything but a win there puts the CL qualification in doubt pretty early on. You can enjoy your speculation of the next few games as others did before the WH match but it may well come back to bite you.

We have a much better side than the previous two seasons, I'd even go as far as saying that this is the best side we have ever had.

We talk about wanting to do well in the CL and challenge the likes of Barca and Bayern but yet some people don't want to predict that we will beat newly promoted teams at home.

I'm not arsed about whether this does come back to bite me on the arse because what I'm saying is true. These next four games are a real chance to create a gap at the top of the league a chance we need to take.

And they'll all play out of their skins like they never have before cause they're playing us. Norwich for example, won't be easy as it looks as they'll play ten man behind the ball and more than likely have a good go going forward on the break exposing our at the moment, shakey defence.

United away i'm not looking forward to one bit, don't know about anyone else. They always seem to do the business at home against the bigger tean and atm, look far more lethal and accurate when it comes to putting away good chances. Obviously the meatheads in the fans will play a massive part like it or not.

Newcastle and Bournemouth, just see the norwich section. Never take any game for granted as we know already this season.

Obviously we're more than capable, i mean we went 5 games without conceding and scoring over 10 in the process. But we were also more than capble of keeping the scoring less than 4 today and capable of beating West ham at home.

Yes it does. We are right in the mix. This is the premier league and nobody will run away with it.

I started watching us as a nipper in the mid 70s with my dad. Cried when we lost the 81 cup final replay and waited decades afterwards to see us win something.

So for me the league looks pretty amazing.

Some entitled twats on here.

No doubt we have a fantastic team & squad, if they are fit. Our entire back four are injured (5 including Hart today), on top of our best CM now (Toure) & best AM/player in the team (Silva) and we're playing with 2 guys who've never/rarely played in PL before in key roles (Otamendi/KdB) on top of someone new to the team this season in Sterling & no back up strikers for our out of form Aguero.

We're as thin as we can possibly get currently, any more injuries & we'll literally be forced into playing players completely out of position or starting with youngsters who've never played the PL before.

This is arguably (hopefully!) the weakest we will be all season when you tot up them factors IMO. If you honestly think we can come close to challenging Barca/Bayern in our current state I'd say you're having a laugh - I think I'm being realistic rather than pessimistic in saying we will do well to go on a winning run from this position unless all our players get fit ASAP.

Saying all that I'm not going to try & stop your optimism, not against confidence, just feel some people are overly complacent when it comes to PL results.

Wouldn't back us beating anyone at the moment even Newcastle.
Complete bottlers the lot of them, they have it to easy and cosy and can't handle it when it gets tough. Be just like last season, despite 100m plus investment.

My point regarding injuries is that is Bayern or Barca had to contend with the injuries we have had then they would struggle. However, they would still back themselves to beat newly promoted teams at home.

Regardless of our injuries, there is not one game that we should have lost this season and that gives me great optimism. We have created chances all season but have not taken them. Even today, we were our own worst enemy. We gifted Spurs their first 3 goals, along with the linesman, but all of them could have easily been avoided. That is where I am critical of Pellegrini, its all well and good wanting to play a certain style but when you have the players missing as we do, then you adapt. Perhaps play on the counter and go defensive.

The team needs to be more clinical and pragmatic and we will be some force and I say that with our injury record. We grind out wins in the against Newcastle and Bournemouth then get our players fully fit for United away and its game on.

The games we have coming up are crucial for us. I would expect our title rivals to pick up maximum points out of them fixtures so we need to.

Although they look winnable, i can guarantee it aint going to be a stroll in the pack esp with all the teams weve played looking like they know all about us. We are going to have to up our intensity and take these games by the scruff of the neck and take the game to them as these team will have a believe they can win as west ham and spurs have shown we aint INVINCIBLE!!!!!!

It's the players and manager's jobs not to underestimate opponents, not ours as fans. If we can't expect to be beating Newcastle, Bournemouth or Norwich at home then we shouldn't be expecting to be involved in the title race. If we don't go on to win then we deal with it but to say we shouldn't expect to win given the differences in our squad investment compared to those clubs is stupid.

Too many injuries and a lack of fight in the team. I don't think the next 4 matches will be a walkover. The form the scum are in and the luck they get is a worry.

If the mindset is missing and you lack the intensity and drive required over 95 minutes you will get the results we have been getting in the past three league and Chumps League games.

Only the naive would think out next four games are going to net us 4 wins,

No game is easy no matter the quality of the opposition and if we don't go into each game with the attitude required we will lose games we " expect to win ".

What we do know is this squad under this manager has no ability to change the course of a game when the slightest amount of pressure is applied to them.

You only need to look at our record when we fall behind which has to be one the worst in the premiership to know the side to a man lacks bottle and unless that changes these results will continue to occur and a far greater rate than we would like especially if the defensive side to our game becomes as comical as it has of late once again.

If we were 2-0 down against Newcastle I very much doubt we could change things to get something out of that game.

Its only a matter of one game at a time but if we continue to play lack lustre insipid football as we have been the season will quickly fall away.

In truth we are no better than last season perhaps even worse attitude wise and MP had better change things for the better immediately or he will be gone before the end of next month.

If he cannot inspire us to at least meet our potential its better we get someone in that can ASAP or at least get 11 players on the park that give hoot about playing as if they care.

This season above all others has shown us there are NO easy games in the premier league. Bournemouth and Norwich are playing some good fearless stuff and Newcastle have unfortunately found a bit of form and also have on his day an excellent keeper. Add to that the 'Raise the game factor' playing us gives teams and anyone expecting easy games here knows nothing!

No side fears coming to COMS and its a free hit as West Ham and Juventus ( struggling in Serie A so far ) showed.

The pressure is on us to perform to the level required each week and unfortunately we are currently well below individually and collectively below what is needed.

Its more than likely we will have to graft out wins against Newcastle , Bournemouth and Norwich because no of them will give us an easy game.
