Not coming in the Top 4 - it's ok!!

Because he's agreed to. Very much doubt he's got a clause in there to get him out if we've announced he's definitely coming here.

Nothing to do with owing, just common sense.

Rafa has a clause in his contract about relegation.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility for Pep to have one.

Tolmie has said that Pep hasn't even signed anything, so he might not even need a clause to get out of coming!

If we don't get top 4. I think it's been manufactured so, in order to allow Pep to build his squad without the pressure of instant success. Just a thought.

if he had clause pellegrini would have got sacked couple of weeks ago surely

There's an awful lot of hysteria going on at the moment regards the Top 4 finish and I wondered if there's anyone else out there who is just not too worried if we don't finish there?

Suppose we didn't finish in the top 4? Pep would inherit the same squad regardless of the league finish and would still be expected to either win the league next season or come very close, otherwise he would be judged as having a mare. So, at worst, we are out of the CL for one season.

Surely we can cope with this?

Also, if Pep has a clause that means he doesn't come, then he's a total whopper but I just don't think that will happen.

Being out of the CL will hurt our transfer business.
The fact CL is in question will be hurting our transfer business right now.

Any player who does come even if we're not in the CL is going to demand more wages, which again impacts our transfer business - ffp is still a thing and wages can only rise a certain amount

Not having transfer wrapped up early will also impact Pep's preparations. Finishing 4th isn't exactly ideal either.

It would also only give Pep 2 shots at the CL rather than 3.

Just seen in Twitter that Pep has a no Champions League clause and has told City he won't be rocking up in June

It makes you wonder why the fuck did we not give Mancini the backing he was after!?

Loved by majority of the fans and worshiped as a legend by most
