Not coming in the Top 4 - it's ok!!

The factor that annoys me is that the £75million we could lose will go to Utd. By keeping them out would have hit them hard, we had them on the ropes, but we just stand there and tell them to knock us out. We have given them a lifeline. Appalling management from This arrogant man.

if the plan under Mansour et al is so long term, so all encompassing, with youth teams and academies looking to the long term future, what the fuck is 1 single season out of the champions league??

what is the total panic on here all about? "utter disaster", "total and utter disaster" etc etc, wtf?

drop in the ocean. it'll be forgotten in 2 or 3 seasons, max.

Chelsea, Liverpool , Manure have all had seasons without Chumps League and each year they will be amongst the favourites to win the League title etc.

This season the top two sides were not even in Chumps with the run away winners not even in Europe.

The comp is evening out with the distribution of money.

Boro and Burnley to name but two sides have 150 mill pound kitty's to spend on players and if they do as well as Leicester did they will take points off the above mentioned sides next season for sure.

Arsenal may have qualified for Chumps League for the 20th time on the trot but haven't won a premiership for 13 years and the vast majority of their fan base want the manager gone so what good has it done for them to be in it every year.

The best run clubs give themselves the best chance of success and we have obviously employed some duds who were trusted in getting us value for money in the transfer market.

Those people will be replaced by shrewder more perceptive people because poor activity in the transfer market and letting an ageing squad be untouched especially in the spine is why we are where we are and of course not replacing the manager 12-18 months ago when it was obvious he wasn't getting the best out of the squad even though it was getting worse in terms of its quality and ability to play winning and attacking football with each passing game.

It would be a setback to not qualify for the CL, but if we had to pick a year to do it, this would be the one as the TV money will soften the blow.

It could actually be a positive thing in someways. Pep would likely use the Europa League to look at the younger players and that could be hugely beneficial in the long run. Pep nurtures and teaches players and so they could become a big part of our future.

It all hangs on the West Ham game really. If they don't win, it's back in our hands. Hopefully the hammers play better than they did yesterday.

Agree with all this, Christ you'd think we were Aston villa the way they are talking

Yes we lose £75million and give it to United instead, a £150 millions net effect.

The Rags must love The Arrogant Man.

I'm not an accountant. I don't really care about revenue streams.

We have enough money to buy any player in the world. Therefore revenue streams are irrelevant to me.

Yes that's the bit that hurts the most, tossing the tramps a bone.

Wouldn't have to pay money just to boo the fucking anthem

Only issue is signing the players we want/need
This is it. Is a player like Paul Pogba likely to want to drop down to the Europa League at this stage of is career? We've got Pep, who is an asset in recruiting players, but not being in the champions league is a huge blow.

We do... but as we have already seen, that doesn't mean WE CAN sign any player in the world, and like it or not the players Pep will want to bring in will be put off by the lack of CL footy next season.
And the £75mil we lose out on is almost enough to buy Pogba!
Just typical really - get the most sought after manager in the world, and end up finishing outside the top 4 - most likely anyway!
