Oakies Hip Replacement cancelled

GUTTED !!!
Had confirmation yesterday that my intended hip replacement has now been put back from this coming Monday 9th December until 13th January.
Had got myself all psyched up and raring to go and then this.
Still I know its only a five week wait and some poor sods are even sent home on the day of some ops as they don`t have a bed for them after surgery.
The reason given was that I telephoned to ask what time I needed to be in on Monday and they claim I`m not even booked in for that day. I said it was a telecom with the Scheduling Dept but they claim no phone call ever took place. Oh says I. I just plucked an imaginary date out of the air ?
No comment from them about that.
Ah well shit happens I suppose.

The NHS care is usually fantastic. Their administration processes are not fit for purpose. After all the bloody consultants they have spent millions on you would think it would be better. Hope it now goes ahead as scheduled. The difference it makes is unbelievable.

Defo that happened bbtm, someone had dropped a right bollock as I`ve even had all my pre op stuff done and attended meetings with physios etc.
I`ve told them that I want it in writing this time and not via any tele-messages.
