either Salford or Bury.... lucky me!!
why have i been sent an appointment to see a doc by work?
i had an accident last month and had a few hospital appointments and overall2 weeks off work..
ive been back in for 2 week and recieved this letter when i got home today saying i had an appointment next week.
what should i expect and what are the reasons for an internal doc to see me? do they not believe me or want rid of me?
advice appreciated

Many companies have an occupational health scheme in place. The doc will prolly want to see you in relation to the incident and ensure you are fit to return to work.

Did the accident happen at work?

They have a Duty Of Care both to you and the other Employees,so I assume that they need to ensure that you are capable of carrying out your normal duties.
They are covering themselves under the Health & Safety At Work Regs.

When I came back from meningitis my works occupational health doctor was great. Spoke to all my managers and set up staggered return to work plans and saw me every few weeks. Propertop guy

are they covering themselves in case i claim do you think?
it happened at work as stated in my op..

With mine it was standard practice, if you are off for more than a certain amount of time due to sickness you have to see occupational health.

It probably is all down to claiming but its not like going to see a doctor could take away the original accident but if they forced you to do things which further injured you then you could claim but the doctor will tell them what you can and cannot do.

I had severe problems at work and occupational health were called in,they were very supportive but can only advise.Trouble is,they have no clout..and charge a fortune for their service.

occupational health will tell you what the company wants to tell you. Get another opinion off your GP/consultant
