Hated the bloke

First came across him in the early 70's when he pretended to like the rock bands of the time and then in the late 70's decided he loved punk etc. Slimy twat in my opinion

Cocky, arrogant , etc etc but did more than most at the time to put Manchester on the map at a time when London had it all. Loved his open distaste for City compared with the safe pc approach today. I also used to like Stuart Hall!

Slimy, oleaginous and self-satisfied piece of work. Hated him ever since I saw him on TV say that City being relegated made him a very happy man.

Also, anyone spelling "Hacienda" with a cedilla under the "c" is by definition a posy ignorant twat. The cedilla softens the "c" to an "s" sound - not necessary before the letter "i", where it's a soft "c" anyway.

Whatever. He wore a permanent sneer.
