Barca want Villa before World Cup

The transfer fee agreed between the two clubs is around 45 million euros (55.48 million dollars), money which cash-strapped Valencia need in order to improve their dire financial situation.

Villa, 28, will sign a four-year contract with the Spanish champions after undergoing medical checks on Friday morning, then will be presented to the media as a Barca player on Friday evening.

Villa — who almost joined Real Madrid a year ago — was keen to resolve his future before going to South Africa to play for Spain the World Cup.

According to press reports, Barca’s next transfer target is Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

I don't think it's a surprise that Villa will stay in Spain. If anyone in Spain has the right money and wage package, I don't think Torres would stay here either.

Ibra pretty well must leave now, but where? I'd honestly say that if Bobby was interested we'd be favourites to sign him. Not doing us down here but many of the bigger clubs wouldn't risk it after a patchy time with Barca. This has definitely got my interest piqued as is the news that Man U will only sign one more player.
