Old birthday card with City on (or is it not City?)

In fairness to my friend, he is from Cov and he is a Cov fan!

Fair enough, loved getting footy birthday cards as a kid. Wished I had kept them.(don't like clutter.). Still look for them in the card shop when mrs Asa is getting a card.
I remember that stand though from a city fa cup match we lost after playing them off the park.

Definitely not City.......also pretty sure our shorts didnt have a red stripe.....think the blond Coventry player is Dave Clements and the other one is Mick Coop.

Fulham played in red and black ......but weren’t’t in the top flight in the 70s

It is Clements but the other is pretty much Ernie Hunt

Good shout about Fulham. Maybe they met in a cup game

Anyone got a complete record of the Watneys / Texaco cups to check?

Sure that isn't a City away kit with those socks and shorts, unless the photo has been doctored.

It's definitely Coventry City 0 Huddersfield Town 0, Sat 5th Sept 1970. They've used a picture that hides the Huddersfield badge.

and here's Trevor Cherry playing for Huddersfield from the same game ...
