Old fart v Utter twats

If anything, the younger generation are yet to pick up life baggage that turns many in to horrid old twats. There are men in their sixties squaring up to each other in pubs round here. It’s pathetic.

That has always been the case, you think that the upcoming generations are going to be any different?

I’ve got two teenage children and have noticed that too. They don’t question this as much as others do as they just see it as whether their friends are happy or not, there’s an innonence and lack of cynicism that seems to go when people either get old themselves or listen to the older generation too much!

Every generation is different in terms of what it deems as socially normal or acceptable, you’re right that a lot of people tend to accept the normality they perceive exists when they’re children or young adults though so the underpinning behaviour tends to stay the same.

I see some nasty old buggers and some younger nasty buggers, just because you don't believe in the group think that's on offer today doesn't make you bad mate.

I didn’t say it did, I was just saying what’s deemed as socially acceptable changes with generations. Just look at either civil or gay rights for example, we’re not talking that long ago that group think on the whole was very very different…

That behaviour of people wanting the world to stay as they remember it to be as children or young adults though, personally I know I’m guilty of!

Or a man too surely?

Does seem like every time this debate is done it only focuses on one area of it.
