Old long forgotten City songs

I really miss the Viking Film chant...
Not the fact that we we don't sing it - we do - but it's just not what it was.
We used to sing it slightly slower than we do now for 10-20 mins at a stretch. In fact I remember one away game in the 70's - I think it was a Villa game. where we sang it for the whole second half. We used to start it by bashing any corrugated iron or wood that came to hand with a continuous slow beat, and bringing it in with (and mixing it up with) "Da Daaaa-Dah" verses.

"Da Daaaa-Dah, Da Daaaa-Dah, Da-Dah Da-Dah Da-Dah Da-Dah Da Dahhhhhh!
"City, Man City, The best team in the land in all the the world."

It brought a shiver to the spine. And I really miss it.
I suppose you could call it an "Ultra" type chant in this day and age.

Who said City couldn't play? City couldn't play,City couldn't play,Who said City couldn't play,City couldn't play football. From the 30's.The tune goes something like Oh my what a rotten song .We ain't got no Istree.

It's from long before that. I remember one of Gary James' books (the full history of the club) says that the crowds were singing it when they paraded the 1904 FA Cup or something like that. It might even go back to the 19th century.
My Nana used to sing it to me,didn't know it was from earlier than the thirties, who'd a thunk it,That's me Beswick Nana though, not me Bradford one.

Was talking about this yesterday with Yaya Tony. My nanna used to sing it to me too.
