Old long forgotten City songs

John Bond we love you
John Bond we do
Though you may be far away
We'll follow you
And one day when we're champions
We'll look back and say
There's no one quite like John Bond
He has helped us on our way

......whch is incredible because after Sergio scored THAT goal, amongst the hysteria around me, I turned to my bro and said " there's no one quite like John Bond, he has really helped us on our way you know".

At the turn of the century in the pale blue sky's over the kappa street came a roaring and a thundering like you never heard as Colin Bell slotted in the third.
Down on the pitch the boys in blue they beat united and the Boro to, there fans tried and there fans died now they're buried together on the popular side.
10 - 20 -30 -40 -50 or more the boro fans came running back for more, there fans tried and there fans died now they're buried together on the popular side.

Anyone remember this one, think it was mid seventies.

One for the old timers, circa 1956,..
Bless em all, bless em all, Dave Ewing-Bert Trautmann and Paul.
It's always the light blue, the lads in the light blue-so cheer up my lads and bless em all.
Lot more verses but unfortunately just had my Horlicks and I am a bit sleepy.

A one season song for 1969-70 only was 'Manchester City clap clap, clap clap' sung to the tune of the Viennese Waltz. It was of course introduced for the run up to the ECWC Final victory in Vienna. At the time I was impressed by the intellectual credentials of whoever thought it up but in truth it was very contrived and a bit shit as well.

To the same tune (McNamara's Band):

His name is Georgie Best
And he's a fucking big disgrace
With his red and white handbag
And shorts all trimmed with lace.
And when he prances down the wing
He gives a little twirl
And curtseys by the corner flag just like a little girl.
Lalalalaaaaa, lala lala, etc.

We're from the Kippax Street and we are magnifique ....can't remember the rest.

We are the Kippax St
and we admire defeat
when it comes from the boys
who play in blue and white.
na na na na na na
na na na na na na (sang clapping hands together)
