Song's before the Beatles.
So many great songs.
This is lovely from Etta James. Has that laid back jazzy feel

Nice. Some crooner stuff and tons of jazz from the middle late fifties is great, the birth of the cool.
the pre-Beatles 50's sock hop rock, buddy holly and elvis or songs like tutti frutti, rock around the clock, and all that never did it for me.

Mini-documentary on Robert Johnson.

Why before the beatles? Not a dig just a question

I would say they were not the bench mark for music in fact I would say the decade before shaped more of what came in the 60s and what the beatles did and beyond so they don't matter as when we think good music started

Haven't even mentioned

Presley
Orborsone
berry
Drifters
Cash

And many more
