Went to the same school as Hope, seemed like a great lad then and nothing to suggest otherwise since he became pro. Shame something like this can happen, you do wonder what’s caused it.

Hopefully the thug who did it is dealt with accordingly.

Was in my year, good lad and a great player was playing with Sterling and Barkley for England while he was at school. Carved out a decent career hope he gets back playing quickly

Agreed. Nothing wrong with a good scrap if both of them were up for it. Shame the lad got hurt but you can get hurt in fights.
