The Police (crown) have the powers to proceed with a prosecution even if the original complainant backs out.The partner didn’t want to press charges. They still happened.

Not many murders would get convictions if the complainant had to be the person wronged!And anyone can be a complainant, they don't even have to be directly involved.
It's there anything to suggest this was a "straightener"? It might just as well have been a bloke making a premeditated attack on another bloke in a car park.It will be their choice, but a straightener is usually well marshalled. Anything else?

Someone suggested a few pages back that they were team mates at another club and one of them did a bit of a "John Terry" with the wife of the other one.It's there anything to suggest this was a "straightener"?
