Let's see. We have a player who has, supposedly, agreed to move to a club but, as yet, hasn't signed. Things drag out and there is much talk about what the hold up is. Does this sound familiar?
Your terminology was ‘taking the place in squad vacated by Yaya’, I was merely pointing out that until someone else is sold then Mahrez has taken that particular slot.I thought Pep wanted an additional forward with Mahrez being an alternative to Sanchez who never got added...

Given Delph and Gundogan could be missing at times due to injury, we should probably keep him if we aren't signing a DM
I honestly don't think he's good enough to play as a DM. Even Aleix Garcia is better in that position than him IMO.
Thinking more as a LB should Mendy be injured or suspended and Delph needed to fill in at DM or injured himself.
He is not a dm so i don't know why they are making a link to not getting jorginho, truth is the kid needs to go where he can play in his right position,we do his career no favours by keeping him, nice kid though
He is a AM and we are stocked there,he can't stay to be back up LB it's not fair on himThis logic does my head in. Of course we wouldn't play him at DM. BUT with him in the squad he can play in one of his more natural positions and some of the players that COULD do a fine job at DM can drop deeper.
Things can always happen, but over the course of the season I think we'd be okay. Danilo can slot in as an emergency LB if needed. Keeping a player like Zinchenko who can only play back up to the back up LB may be a waste of a foreign slot to me.
How does that pertain to anything I wrote? He is a AM and we are stocked there,he can't stay to be back up LB it's not fair on him
