I'm not sure its "far better" playing Getafe, Eibar, Levante, and Alaves, than in the dutch league.

Personally I think the gap in La Liga between top, and middle/lower teams, is bigger than in it is in Holland.

    Minutes played this season, apparently:

    Zinchenko 1,104
    Maffeo 2,585
    Angelino 3,150

Admittedly, they have all played in different competitions and experienced different things, but, at his age, Zinchenko surely needs/wants more minutes.

Not to mention that when he does play against them he'd be having to play as part of a parked bus, which isn't exactly a skill we need him to acquire. Playing in a dominant team would be ideal, as that's what we need our fullbacks to be able to do.

He has pretty much given up being a creative player & just stands there like a stump passing tbe ball sideways.

He was a much better footballer than he is now.

Perhaps he's been instructed to do so?

I saw him make some nice passes through the channels on Wed, so think you're being harsh on Zinchcliffe here.

He's a midfielder/winger not a fullback. If he is to justify taking up one of the overseas spots in the squad, I'm not sure a 3rd choice leftback who isn't very good at defending & provides an occasional pass, will do it.

Angelino is a pretty dangerous deliverer of crosses, can beat a man & shoot.

Can't blame the kid for playing to the instruction he was given.

I don't believe that to be the case, I just think he isn't taking on the responsibility to create anything, so gives it to others.

    It's a pity, as he's a good footballer.

To play devils advocate, he plays the role exactly as Delph does, so I think it's an instructional thing.
