I am 58 years old now. I hated olives for the first 46 years of my life, now I love them.

When did you start loving olives.

Similar story. Probably only started liking them in late 50's but fond of olive oil for longer.

Much prefer green olives to black.

First time i ever ate olives was in 1980 when i had a seafood pizza from a stall in the old underground market, Manchester. They put black olives on and i think they complimented the pizza really well. I prefer green olives in a salad though.

I enjoy black olives either on pizza, or when served in a little bowl in the sunshine accompanied by a glass of nice oakey earth red wine. Ideally accompanied with some bread and olive oil.

Green ones are generally huge and too chewy / meaty, am not a fan.
