I remember chatting up a lass at the bar in a club who had those sort of tight pants on

"How do you get into them? " I asked

" You could buy me a drink" was the response

I still remember queuing up around the bloc at the Levenshulme Palace/Flea Pit to watch Grease. You could feel the excitement and anticipation as people queued to watch the film. The film was sold out every night for weeks.

She was born in Cambridge and moved to Oz when she was 6 - so she's as Aussie as the Bee Gees were!
She was also a third cousin to Ben Elton!

In May I spent a long weekend in Los Angeles and got a train to Anaheim.
The train line runs parallel above the LA River for quite a few miles - the almost dry river being the setting for the car race towards the end of Grease and where this picture of Sandra Dee was taken.
It was great riding above the concrete waterway imagining Danny and Crator Face racing their cars down that very spot......

She was 29 when the film was released - Travolta was 26
