On reflection i think Pep will play his strongest team including Aguero , he will try and get the team scoring goals and play back into form , if we can score a few against the Greeks , Burnley and Fulham maybe our confidence will begin to return.

We already scored 9 goals in 3 games in the CL, but we failed miserably in the League.

Players are complaining about being tired, therefore Pep should rest KDB and all the tired players to prepare them for the next league game.

See that Rodrigo got a glowing write up in part due to the fact he has played every minute in every premier league game to date.

Might be just me but I reckon his performance level is well below that of last season albeit the same could be said the vast majority of the team.

Could be the quality of the teams we are facing
Yeah, in a group stage it's the desperate need for points last two are relegated so they have to go for the three points that negates any attempt to park the entire fleet of Yelloway coaches in front of the penalty area. It's tailor-made for a Pep strategy.

No way that Pep plays the kids tomorrow. The job isn't done yet - we need to win tomorrow to guarantee that at least one of the remaining two games is a dead rubber so we can rest players. If the other result goes our way as well it could even be two dead rubbers. He can play the kids then. In fact, he can play the U8s at that point which would be even better - get them some proper matchday experience.

Our upcoming fixtures in the next month ...

25/11 Olympiacos (A) - CL
28/11 Burnley (H)
01/12 Porto (A) - CL
05/12 Fulham (H)
09/12 Marseille (H) - CL
12/12 United (A)
16/12 West Brom (H)
19/12 Southampton (A)

22/12 Arsenal (A) - QF
26/12 Newcastle (H)
28/12 Everton (A)
02/01 Chelsea (A)

So winning this one tomorrow means next two CL games become dead-rubbers and that'd ease the pressure around the league games ... even if we don't top the gorup and need another point for that in the next game, it surely makes the last one dead rubber against Marseille ... which is just before the derby.

Also need to put a run of 5 wins in the league now (including the derby) before we then face Arsenal in the QF and the Everton/Chelsea games at the end of the month.

Yeah, he'll definitely play a strong team but hopefully he'll rotate a bit. Walker, Rodri, and De Bruyne in particular could do with a rest, maybe Dias too.

We seem to be a much better outfit on CL matchdays than in the PL.
Yes because it’s played at a slower pace which is why Rodri and gundo works in CL and not in the prem. When we were free scoring it was fast and often 3 to 4 passes ending in a goal. We never allowed teams to keep their shape with wingers switching right to left. Nowadays it’s always that extra pass and it inevitably fizzles out.
