When in the sport section the video advert starts up automatically, how can I stop this ? its a pain in the backside having to keep clicking to turn off on every article I,m reading.

What Browser do you use? Do you have a Firewall or Anti-Banner protection?

However, search browsers or firewalls Options, search for "Blocked URL's".

When you find that you need to add 2 locations into the List of Blocked Sites.

Code:
Add this locations to the blocked list:

http://eplayer.performgroup.com

http://performgroup.com

Apply, OK and then go for it, Videos wont be showing.

I use firefox and cant see that option to block url anywhere
p.s...just spotted an option to block URL,s in avast which i use.....did as instructed, went onto the MEN site,,still vids automatically playing ??? doesnt firefox have an addon to deal with this ?

If you blocked it at Avast, then its not active. I use Kasperskys Anti Blocker and it works perfect.

Here you go for the Firefox Addon, add the 2 address i posted above:

Code:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/blocksite/

You could also add these blocks to your Hosts file at Windows Folder.

Code:
127.0.0.1 eplayer.performgroup.com
127.0.0.1 performgroup.com

Here how to edit the Host File:

You can easily and effectivily block access to a website by adding it to your Windows HOSTS file.(Yes, Hosts is capitalised for some strange reason). Without any software. Doesn't matter what browser that you use.

1. Open Notepad (right click - Run as Administrator on Notepad.exe) IMPORTANT

You go to START - RUN - type NOTEPAD - right click on NOTEPAD.exe - RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

2. File - Open then Browse to your HOSTS file which is located at:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC for windows Vista and XP
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC for Windows 2k
C:\WINDOWS for Windows 98 and ME

The Windows HOSTS should have the 2 lines on the add (you copy paste them):
Code:
______________________

# Copyright © 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a "#" symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
#

127.0.0.1 eplayer.performgroup.com
127.0.0.1 performgroup.com

You may need to add sites with both with and without the "www.". Test after blocking to make sure you got it right.

You can add as many sites as you wish to block in this fashion.

3. Save it by clicking File - Save. Close Notepad and answer "Yes" when prompted.

4. Reboot your computer and attempt to access your now MEN website. The Videos wont load at all.
