Once we finish spending on our first team

I think we should start looking round the world for the best young talent. The 16 - 19 yr olds like Douglas Costa, Kerlon, Kerrison etc. Now i know 2 of those 3 have already signed elsewhere but I would love us to go out and buy a few of the best rated talent out there and loan them out to a club in Europe or let them play this year in the reserves. It is a massive effort to get the best players in their prime but if we finish our main spending and bring in Terry (cant see it myself but you never know), Tevez and Lescott I would love the club to bring in the players who will go on to be the best!!

what do you guys think?

Spot on but i think that we are doing this already mate.

I think we've already started, i can think of 3-4 kids we've signed in the last 6 months... Not sure what happened to the Spanish guy we paraded before Bolton at home (from Espanyol i think) whether we payed up or whether he's gone back...

I know we have brought in a couple of youth kids but i mean lads that we would need to spend between £8 - £15m on like the rags did when they bought Ronaldo at 17 for £12m and AC did when they bought Kaka and Pato for around £12m each when they were in their teens.

I am glad we are getting these youth lads likethe spaniard and the german i also think we got a young italian striker but cant remember his name!!

Oh OK, you mean just the already established kiddo's.... Like Douglas costa and Nilmar......Well i guess we are in for them too, its just i think Hughes is dealing with his first 11.. and these type of players might not get in it this season.... I think also he might want to look at Weiss and a few others first to see if they make the step up.... In terms of young defenders we are probably as well of as any with Ned and Richards....Maybe a midfielder could be added at that age range....only really Johnno who's 21....Strikers....well Studge :-(

If you check through the youth team and Reserve team squads you will find that this is something which Jim Cassell and his team have been working on for some time. Check out Vladimir Weiss, Dedryck Boyatta, Alex Nimely, Robbie Mak and many more whilst recently we have signed a young French left back (Capt of the France youth team) and the best rated young German Goalkeeper from Stuttgart I believe.I can only see this policy being expanded

Again I know all about these players and Weiss looked very impressive when coming on against Bolton. Apart from him though im not sure our youths will go on to be world beaters but I guess with every player you never really know!! If we did go out and buy more established kids like Nilmar or Costa I would loan them out straight away to a european club or something to that effect, this way they dont block our youth and will get first team experience still.

I know that Mak and this Nimely kid are meant to be quality but it's definately a route we shouldnt rule out.
 
We've already started doing that, we have signed that 16 year old right back from Germany remember!

Its already begun! Come on City!

Like most, I was first aware of him on PES (in which he is absolutely insane). But he's been kinda meh at Almeria. Still young though..
