Only if they're hg and how many hg players are good enough? Pogba? Barkley? Sturridge? Can't see it tbh, I still think we're a top notch centre mid short, I'd love to see us bring in a Gundogan/Pogba/Vidal/Modric style and quality player but can't see it happening, especially with Huws and Zuculini having so much potential. LW? Maybe Reus next summer.

There is however one possibility if we find a suitable buyer for navas like 20 odd mil then we could go for dimaria who would really improve us,other than that I can't c it happening and last thing we need is to spend for the sake of it

i'd rather have reus than di maria, and i'dmuch rather have either of them in place of one of our strikers (negredo)...

I'm delighted too tbh, just think once Lamps goes we're a centre mid short, every squad has weaknesses so... We've gotten rid of the dead wood for the most part, our problem areas are: LW (possible improvements; Ronaldo, Di Maria, Reus, Ribery), CM (named above) and LB (Not many better here, maybe Criscito, Alba and Luis) None of which I can see us being able to address this summer so we might bring in one or two talented under 19s to replace the out on loan lads in the EDS but apart from that?

City could go and put £5m-£10m down on Patrick Roberts and loan him back to Fulham for a couple of years. It'd be a gamble that could easily backfire, but at 17 he looks like he could be the standout English player of his generation. His development has been helped by Steve Wigley, same guy who helped bring Bale, Walcott and Lallana through the Southampton system.

About reus, it would be a 1 in 5, probably more (as in less) chance of getting him next summer b/c of his release clause. They may have been tempted this summer with an outrageous bid if that would have ensured they had enough funds for a replacement as well as preventing him from going to Bayern

What if we spend a lot and still underperfom so let's keep it short and simple so that if we don't quite make it we'd get a lighter bashing). To that I say learn from the best - a real madrid never considers their team a complete one but push themselves as much as possible just to stay ahead of the game - are you surprised that you are years behind them? They won a double (better than your double) and they still go spending to poach the very best! Face it money is the name of the game!!! Your team is not near complete and I keep seeing posts here in bluemoon that we've got a complete team! It baffles me!!

Now to specifics: how about offloading nasty for 15 or 16 and going for isco for 27 - 28 bearing in mind we have secured rodwell and garcia tranfer monies. Boyata would automatically fit in but we don't trust him yet so we'd play sagna in central defence ahead of him if there's any emergency that would have required him to play. The reason for this is Silva's frailty (imho he's our most important player). So we'd have nasri and isco fighting it out on the left while silva will stay right with navas coming on whenever we need him (thank God these guys can play centrally, at left or right) Milner drops to CM backup while Lampard would feature only in the domestic front. Caballero + Hart in would feature in epl and co while official goalkeepers for the champions league would be Hart and Wright so that we'd have Clichy, Boyata and Milner among the 21. This will make us much more competitive domestically and in europe though I admit the only downside of this is having to loan Negredo out. I'd emphasize again that there is no such thing as a complete team as there's always a better somebody out there waiting to be bought as Real Madrid continues to demonstrate

I am assuming u r counting Milner, Nasri, Silva and Navas. Well Navas only plays on the right and Milner is at best a cog in the machine.

Not too important for me, we should definitely be looking for one in the future but Aleks gives us plenty of threat down that side. All the players that would improve us on that side would cost £45m+ so you get £30m for Alf and it could happen. Could.

Not too important for me, we should definitely be looking for one in the future but Aleks gives us plenty of threat down that side. All the players that would improve us on that side would cost £45m+ so you get £30m for Alf and it could happen. Could.

Again, just for the sake of discussion, and not expecting anything: lets say our net spend stand at 30 million. Say we get 10M from sales of Guidetti, Richards, and Sinclair. Say we sale either Nasty or Negredo (unlikely due to injury) for between 15-20 million. we would get a net spend of zero or close to it so a marquee attacking signing can be brought in.

Ofcourse, given the restrictions that we have, and the time in the window, all this is just conjecture.

25 goals in 6 months was great indeed. Its just having more attacking midfielders than strikers makes sense/better balance. 5 AMs/wingers and 3 strikers rather than 4+4. Again, my opinion.
