Chester City are currently in a mess. They where put into admistration by owner Stephen Vaughan then bought back but the Fa have announced that the clubs affiliation to the Fa is linked to the old company so therefore Chester have had to cancel some pre season friendlies. Chester claim it's a simple paper work issue and have sent in the relevant documents yet still no all clear from the Fa.
This for me is a sad state of affairs I remember it being announced last season there would be a talent share at academy level basically any players not perhaps up to Premier League standard would be sent to the Deva Stadium and any players that where considered good enough for bigger things at Chester would make the journey to Platt Lane. Crying shame as arrangements like this help smaller clubs like Chester and also helps City identify talent from a wider area, just hope they get it sorted.
