One poor game so what.

I saw enough in the first four Mancini games to suggest that he knows what he is doing. Most people saw likewise.

OK yesterday was poor. But all teams including top teams have off days. Taking into account the fact that Everton played very well, were at home and that we were missing, Toure, Adebayor, Lescott, Bridge, Ireland, Ned, RSC limped off etc I don't know why everyone is so upset.

Individual players are getting slagged off yet last week were being praised. Richards, Barry, Petrov, spring to mind. Players like managers have off days. Lets get over it.

as long as we beat the small teams home and away I'm alright. doesn't matter about chelsea, united, liverpool, spurs, villa, everton, arsenal. hopefully we'll be able to beat the shit teams like we weren't doing under hughes. united do shit against the top four rivals but they beat wigan on a tuesday night.

Yeah i agree, Chelsea lost to Wigan and Aston Villa. That was two bad games for them but they bounced back. We can do the same :)

totally agree yesterday was a bad day at the office, they played poorly, but the manager did NOT slag them, he's too clever to do that, said they played well but EV were BETTER, clever guy, like him a lot, and you can't win every game, were still in a good position thanks to 9 points from his first three, comfortably in 5th with winnable games coming up!!

realistically, the only games where you get more than the points are those against your DIRECT rivals (those you are likely to finish within 6 to 9 points of). for us that's villa, spurs, liverpool, maybe arsenal. for the rest a point is a point is a point. don't get hung up on individual results against non rivals. as long as the guy is getting over 2 points per game, and we deny pool and spuds wins at ours, we will get top four at a canter.

A bit of sanity on here at last!

I had the misfortune to sit in the main stand yesterday surrounded by half blind toffees, trying to make sense of what was going on out there - How much did they love those 3 points by the way? Where i was sat you would think they had won the Champs League!

Firstly their delight in rolling us over was just another indication for me of how far we have progressed this season. By the chat going on around their pikey bar in the main stand before kick off they were hoping for a draw at best.

No doubt we were well beaten yesterday. Yes losing RSC early doors was a blow, form then on we struggled to impose ouselves up the pitch physically with Kompany at the back, but i think Mancini was second best to Moyes yesterday tactically. We allowed Everton to dominate midfield to the point where people are now talking about Fellaini as some kind of superstar! Lets get real. I am gutted by yesterdays result but still excited by what lies ahead - Onwards & upwards! From what Mancini has shown so far i'm sure he will have learnt a lot yeaterday, and he doesn't seem like a bloke who makes the same mistakes twice.

We were overrun in the middle, Everton played very well, we were hurt by abscences, we committed some individual errors, a new manager still getting to know his squad made some bad choices....... Add all this up and it equals a bad day out.

My faith is total in Mancini and the squad putting this right for Tuesday. I only hope some of the Rags out there buy into some of the crap in the papers and on Talkshite/606, because one defeat does not mean the wheels have come off. Come on Blues!
