Opening Up The Family (North) Stand To Everyone Has Worked

Wasnt the family stand open to everyone anyway , i definitely sat in there last season against Huddersfield , Wolves and Spurs , and Rotherham although i had my 16 year old grandson with me at that game (hardly a child though) ..I think calling the North stand the family stand is more about creating a family type atmosphere , ie: less swearing , more family type entertainment on the concourse and Moonbeam and Moonchester always going to that end , than it is a strict criteria for getting tickets...

Not officially. It was still classed as the Family Stand. City have only recently confirmed that the NS will be opened up to anyone who wants to buy a ticket in there.

it might be that people who only go for big games, now know if they don't use there tickets for 10 games they will lose it, so a game at 3 nice and sunny will be a game they go to

Good new if true and long over due. With the best of intentions I think City made the Family Stand but the reality is it has worked poorly with regards the perception of the club.

There has been plenty of debate about the Family Stand and the empty seats in it over the years on here.

There have been plenty of views for and against keeping the North stand a Family stand only.

I stand corrected on this, City have now opened up the Family stand to everyone, regardless if you have a Child or not.

This picture is from Yesterday. Remember, City were playing Brighton. It wasn't a big game. The Family (North) stand looked full from block 215, level 2, in the South stand.

Yes it's full but if that's from 215 you must have MASSIVE arms

Load of bollox who makes this stuff up it's never been a family stand only,I've been going in it for years main reason close to the tram, also seen lots of bloke's together without children.

There's nothing about the concourse that makes it more family orientated. The playstation compound hasn't been in use for as long as I can remember now. Think moonchester and moon beam still rock up before kickoff but apart from that it's crap

Took the youngest to his fist game there yesterday. We were in 138 and I couldn't see an empty seat. Mostly families and some young lads behind us. It was great. No swearing to polute young ears until the south stand started singing about the reason the rags play on Thursdays. I'd have expected it full this week though - nice day, 3pm, most back from hols and a lot of schools and other family things still not started back.

Wasn’t the confirmation that it was only opened up from next season?

That’s what the City Matters meeting minutes say anyway.

As far as I’ve seen it’s still a family section for this season.
