Thanks to Gary from <a class="postlink" href="http://www.norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com</a> for taking the time to answer the questions.

Nice read that, funny the perception of City amongst clubs that have undergone similar turmoil to ourselves. I would be happy to see Norwich, Southampton, Palace, any of those sides that have been up and down and stayed by their side get some money and do well (as long as City still beat them). Then you get the Liverpool and Everton mentality that they deserve more and have some divine right to success because we are shit and have no history. I think Norwich should stick with Hughton, I think he has done well with signings and Lambert left a big shadow to fill with the fans. Having said that, I thought the same true of Saints decision on Adkins but Pochettino seems to be a great manager. Their style mirrors ours with high pressing and passing play. Anyway going off track! Hope Norwich stay up, think they will. But think City will win and keep a clean sheet while we are at it.

The past few years have been the funniest and most enjoyable in my time as a City fan. 10/11 and 11/12 in particular were fantastic. We did the Poznan, we took the roundabout, Joey do the pretty much everything, the Yaya-Kolo song. I'm not worried about our soul. I love my fellow blues as much or perhaps even more than I always did, and that's worth more to me than trophies.

these posts from the 'opposition' have been of a high standard of late and this one kept it going. Good one.

This, we are still the same, the fan's I mean.

Talk of losing our soul is a stick to hit us with but basically it's just jealousy and the fan's, we will always be the same. Win, lose or draw.

jealousy is a destructive emotionF]

He did admit that.

Amen to that Brother, I feel exactly the same way

Overall a balanced overview apart from this idiotic wording that seems to follow us "lost its soul"
If you ask the writer what it actually meant,I bet he wouldn`t have a fucking clue, like the rest of `em.They need a guided tour of the Academy when its complete to see if they`ve changed their minds.

Good read actually. I see that some on here have picked up on this whole "lost soul" issue. I think, to be fair to him, that he is only saying what a lot of fans think. You look at how many posts/threads there are about plastic fans, tourists, corporate visitors, real fans being priced out of season tickets, etc

I am not saying I agree with him because I think all clubs evolve and change it's just that our change in fortune has meant that our evolution has been accelerated and is therefore more noticeable

RE losing the soul
Staring below at the collection of newbies seated at stamford bridge in the lower tier,i sort of see the point
But the vast majority of us were there when we were shit and the soul of the club is us and its important that the very fortunate generation of younger supporters understand what we are about, the anathema of the soulless corporate trafford outfit

Wtf does he mean by this
Whether that has come at a cost

for me to say...
???

Someone care to explain pls ?!?

I'd guess that he means before the money all City fans he met were proper football fans with a genuine love for the club, but now he's probably meeting a lot of glory hunters that a few years ago were Rags or Chelsea fans.I know what he means I spend a lot of time in Asia and about 10 years ago when asked who I supported I'd say Manchester City and 99% thought I meant the Rags and thought they were the only team in Manchester and didn't have a clue who City were, but now if I walk around with an away shirt on I get stopped by Asian City fans wanting to talk about City ,anyway I'm guessing thats what he means.
