OS videos so blurry it's unwatchable - anyone else?

Ive had issues with it, and ive also had no issues with it other times. I think its more to do with your internet connection than it is to do with the website.

Turn the volume up, I can barely ever hear Mancini in interviews.

Otherwise it is good, I suspect your pc is slow, can't process the video quick enough? Is it same for other video?

Crystal clear right here. Must be your computer performance and internet speed. Those two things affect quality greatly.

For example, my sound is crisp and videos look HD

PC might be slow atm I suppose, even though my connection certainly isn't. But then the videos aren't lagging or stuttering at all, just this blurry effect, so that's why I didn't really consider this as an explanation.

It isn't like it on any youtube videos and AFAIK never on iplayer/live BBC and the like, but then maybe I don't watch those enough to spot it.

iv had this once but them it went back to being good again an hour later, dont know what the problem is, do you get this alot, if not just try again later

Those black patches in a video are usually caused by missing segments of the file, which is usually caused by connection issues between your computer and the server. It may be an issue of high latency, packets going missing or just a generally slow connection.

No problem for me. The picture quality seems to have improved from last season as well. There used to be some real ''pixel-ly'' videos on there, but they seem to have improved this season.

Have you checked your video card drivers are up to date? Also check that FLash and Microsoft Silverlight are the latest versions as well (unsure which the OS uses).

Don't think it's a connection problem, as the videos automatically lower in quality to avoid things like this.

Can you give me a hint how to do this, and fix it if needed? Thanks :)

I think the connection is 30 mb/s so not slow, I don't know much about the other issues you mentioned, what causes them and is there a fix?

Go to http://www.speedtest.net, run a test on your internet (check all downloads have stopped first) and post up the image at the end where it says share.

That way we can determine whether it's your computer or your internet. I have the worlds slowest internet connection and the videos are ok for me

So looking at that I think it's safe to assume it's not your internet! Are you running Windows?
