Our biggest ever game?

If football was all of a sudden stopped then this game, win lose or draw, wouldn't make the top 10 of biggest or most important games in City's history. However don't play down the importance of this game on the future. We have been piss poor in Europe since the takeover so a good run raises our profile for both players and commercially. If we want to be feeding at the top table we need to make an impression on the CL and this is a great opportunity. I'd say we are slight, very slight, favourites and the big 3 in this competition have a very difficult job to do to get through. I can nearly forgive Pel for the team he put out at Chelsea if we get through, nearly but not quite.

Newcastle away. Bigger is every way, because it involved a direct rival and more than one team in the equation.

People forget, Newcastle were also going for a Champions League place.

Without Newcastle, there is nothing. No QPR, there is no Sergio moment.
Arise Sir Yaya. How short our memories are?

Sorry guys. Gillingham was a crucial turning point irrespective of ITK claims and pseudo-intellectual "proof".

Anyone who witnessed it knows it in their bones.[/QUOTE]

Bang on the money mate.
If we win tomorrow how many hardcore blues will break down in tears?
Gillingham was about survival on every level.

Gillingham was more emotional for the fans, of course, as was the QPR game. They made the club what we are today. Our performances in the Champions League will make us the club we'll be tomorrow.

Might sound daft but surely winning the final in Vienna and before that the win against Schalke.
