Our Greatest PL XI ?

Can’t argue with any of that, Gvardiol stuck out but we’ve really not had a wealth of great left backs.

I wasn't sure about that call, Gvardiol or Kolorov, I've taken the liberty of assuming Josko will go up one level and become world class in his peak...
 
Lacks width for me. At their peak, I'd pay to watch this lot:

Sané Agüero Silva
De Bruyne
Yaya Rodri
Cancelo Laporte Kompany Walker
Ederson

Bench: Hart, Stones, Gvardiol, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Bernardo, Foden, Sterling, Haaland

Tough on: Dias, Zabaleta, Mahrez, Tevez
 
When you think of some of the players that aren't included in there, you realise how spoilt we have been!

I would even consider dropping Haaland, putting Aguero up top, Silva AM and Leroy on the left wing based on how good he was for us.
 
It's a great argument to have. I'll go to my grave arguing Leroy Sane is one of the most naturally gifted footballers we've ever had - he's never maxed the talent he has tbh taking the easy option when Pep would've made him a better player. He would certainly be in my reckoning and Phil Foden should also make the XI somewhere.

Left back is a debate - I don't think we have any candidate who is up to the level of the positions in terms of nomination of an all timer. The position forever seems a black hole for us.

The Joe Hart/Ederson debate is a great one. Vastly different keepers, both will always have a special place in my old Blue heart.

Sane is out of contract and available on a free in the summer. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Another question might be what was our greatest ever XI that actually started a game? Probably one from the Centurions season, the domestic Quad or the treble year?
