Our supporters.

At the risk of repeating myself, we could do with someone like this guy to orchestrate proceedings...

Or maybe they are just that bit crazy over there.

Just looked at their ticket prices. 150 euros for biggest games, 100 for big and 55 for normal. So i suppose the working class thing doesnt hold there. Too many people are now fans instead of supporters, ( yes they support financially ). The sanitised environment makes it more like going to the pictures than to the match. Why is it the old grounds that we all love going to for great away days? No City square there, but the pubs are rocking and it continues on to the match. IMO it will never go back to how it was, and for the younger ones its a shame.

Correct: To many things have changed. No standing is only one them. No alcohol on the terraces is also another big reason and ticket
prices in a straight comparison of the 70's & 80's are considerably more expensive now.
Also, I don't think the clubs themselves want it. The cost of policing & stewarding is extremely high.
Those days are gone. Going to a football match is now on par to going to the theatre with your family.

Those crowds tend to be almost exclusively male; very few, if any, women and children. Lends itself to mob-mentality a lot more. As great as that atmosphere is, I suppose I prefer one where women and children also feel comfortable.

That said, Fenerbahce's women and children aren't exactly quiet:

Do Manchester City do enough to keep our fans on board? The platinum/gold points doubling divide has upset me and others alot.
So what do you do? Go to games with your gold membership then stand there in a misery and huff because of the apparent divide?

I don't think it has anything to do with the stadium, standing, alcohol or type of membership, the atmosphere is generated by people and there are plenty of passionate fans going to the Etihad, sober, lashed or somewhere in between. There have been plenty of great days and atmospheres, the game against Newcastle a few years back was electric and we were only 'good' then !! Obviously other games have been fantastic too so it can't just be the stadium. All I can say is give it the City war cry next game and do it often, shut them up, let's do the Poznan and if there are some catchy and high tempo new songs lets get them on here!
