WHU want £30-40M for Bellamy and Parker combined
Blackburn want £25m for RSC
Wigan want more than £10m for Palacios
Boro have just rejected £15m for Downing.

Just look what AVERAGE players are worth, the £100m being quoted for Kaka doesnt seem to silly now

Very true. The Hull chairman was handwringing on Five Live, complaining that City would "destroy the valuations of the transfer market"...think he needs to look at the players you've quoted.

£100 million is over priced but thats the way weve got to go to get these top players to our club at the minute, but at the time wasnt 15 mill overpriced for shearer,30 mill way overpriced for smackhead,19 mill for Ronaldo who was a nobody when baconface signed him,but nobody said anything then so fuck them all

City wont destroy valuations...the reason is simple economics...only City can afford to pay such crazy valuations! The rest of football can scrap over our rejects at the correct market value. Its only City who will suffer..and we can afford it so whats the big deal...we cant buy every world class player? The other thing to remember....by paying £100m City are in effect injecting huge money into the game. That money will be spent by Milan and filter through to other clubs. Most of these daft arse journo's aint got a clue.

All the players that we will bid for/ buy are amazingly over priced, but..

1. Money is not an object to us.
2. Can you seriously blame the clubs who own these players for trying to get millions off us?
3. Our signings will be in a different world/market to every other clubs.

I just hope that we don't sign a squad full of players who only come here for the money, I want players like Dunney and Vinny who will play for the shirt in the team every single game.

Exactly. Its business through and through. And its actually of benefit to football as a spectacle. Who doesnt want to see the likes of Kaka strutting his stuff on the Premier League stage!?

Zidane at 47 Million in 2001 is the equivilent of 100 million now for Kaka, who is arguably better than Zidane was then (who'd had an average season for Juve).

As a City fan, obviously I'm excited at the prospect of Kaka turning out in sky blue, but as a FOOTBALL fan it's upsetting to see what the game has become. HOWEVER, who's fault is it that things have turned out this way? You'd have to lay the blame with football's governing bodies and ultimately FIFA for not doing something years ago.

So if anyone wants to have a pop at us for splashing the cash then you'd have to ask them, are we breaking any rules? NO. Morals, maybe but they were lost years ago with the formation of the Premier League and ultimately the Champions League.

I might go and buy a top range bentley...it doesnt mean the red twat next door cant buy a decent mondeo does it?

These are the clubs that the press should be writing to about in there articles, and also the clubs that have made travelling to away games a no no due to price of tickets,eg Wigan,Fulham,Chelsea,Arsenal,Scum,West Brom to name a few

.

Yeah, Zidane was 47Million Euro and at the time that equated to £70 million pounds and it was 8/9 years ago. I dont recall Real Madrid being accused or ruining football.

as previously quoted which i think is bob-on

“accusations that we are ruining the game are rubbish. We did not invent this playing field, we are merely outplaying the others at the game they started”
