Own Goal ?

How, and who, can class Wijnaldum's first goal yesterday as an own goal?

He was in the box, running at goal and gets a shot off that looked well on target to me. So what if it hit a defender on the way in, the lad had still done all the hard work and got his shot away.

It seems like it was Sky who decided to call it an own goal about 5 minutes after the event but who are they to decide? Maybe they stood to lose a big wad on 1st scorer bets but thenkfully that back-fired on them if that was the case.

Watch a replay though, there's an angle from directly in line with the shot & you can clearly see it off target & curving further away from goal before Skrtel knocks it in. Always goes down as an own goal in that situation unfortunately. As for who picks, the fathomed "dubious goal team" or whatever they always say I suppose..

Hard luck on the bet though.
