Never seen this before, but it gobsmacked me a bit....mind you I drove from Brisbane to Sydney and it took me 12 hours so I shouldnt be surprised

Took a campervan from Darwin to Cairns in 5 days, just miles of nothingness and a loads of dead kangaroos. (One of which, ooops!)
 
Although I'd already heard the factoid about Oz being bigger than Europe, I thought it was marginally bigger, that makes it seem about twice the land mass!

And it's only the 6th biggest country on Earth. Makes you think that Europe really is incredibly diverse for such a small continent.
