I bought my new PC a couple of months ago,Its a Dell Dimension,C521. Its a duel core. In "Computer" its says I have 2-10GB(1) and one 80 GB(1) Recently a have been getting a message saying my disc space is low on the recovery bit of the hard drive, the bar underneath it is all red there is 6.90MB of 9.99GB. I have 95.0GB free in the other bit of a possible 138GB. The message asks if i want to free up space, when i click yes it says you can delete whats in the recycle bin but says it will free up 0 bites. I don't particularly know what duel core is, it just sounded good when i bought it, I also don't know what the recovery bit of the disc is for apart from recovering stuff obviously, I have only ever asked my PC to back its self up once, i just presumed it did that automatically. so basically i could do with a quick no nonsense chat as to what my machine is capable of doing and i could do with being told if i need to do anything to it to sort this recovery bit being full up issue. I've never used a Dell mate but I suspect the recovery bit is probably there to enable you to recover from a fatal error without manually having to reinstall windows, my Acer has a similar thing although its not shown in windows (you press some key combination and it allows you to return the computer to the way it left the factory). If that is the case then it being full is not a problem as it's not meant to be written to anyway, maybe a call to Dell would clear it up.
