Man marking Messi tonight.

Already on a yellow 25 minutes in.

Not going to be easy.
 
Doing a man-marking job on Messi tonight and doing an exceptional job, stayed with Messi even on a yellow card (touch wood he stays on). Having a very good season.


Taken off after 77 minutes. Literally man-marked Messi for the full game, followed him everywhere, great performance from him.

He's clearly very talented, but I think we'll sell him. Would Pep play with Danilo in midfield over bringing someone in like Weigl? If he does, then Maffeo can then rotate with Walker. If not, Maffeo isn't coming here to be 3rd choice RB
 
Maffeo on Messi was almost as glorious a man marking performance as Sibierski on Makelele
 
Hope Maffeo comes back to City for next season & the future. He appears to be developing really well at Girona & could be a role model for others to follow in the future.
