nah... it's a cheapskate substitute for skill. the important thing is to be able to play at speed. if you have one person who can run with the ball quickly, it's not nearly as powerful as having 3 who can move it around quickly.

what speed merchants do the big teams have?

Agree. If a good defence gets caught out, pace will often be the saviour. We're pretty average at the back. The midfield has a distinct lack of pace, and the forward line doesn't contain anyone with the next thing down from blistering pace, which is how top strikers amass an extra half dozen or dozen goals.

We have 3 slow players in our squad: De Jong, Barry, Lescott
