hope you don't mind lads, just having a whinge here, fuck i have a trapped nerve in my left arm,i have never ever had anything so painfull in my entire life, shooting pains in left arm numb fingers the pain is so bad i get about 1hr a night sleep, even city have been sidelined, ended up in A&E concerned it could be heart trouble but its just trapped nerves, has anyone had this? any tips would be welcome, the pain is unfookingbeleivable and thats with the pain killers

I have had somethin' similar for a while now in my left arm , which the doc at the MRI has put down as tennis elbow , plus a trapped nerve in the neck area.

Sometimes simple things such as stretchin' open a window , or changin' gear is so painful it drives me mad ....... the pain can be concentrated in one area below the elbow , or right up the full length of my arm an' into my neck .......... it comes an' goes but sometimes the severe aching will keep me awake at night ....... my fingers can go numb sometimes too ......... nobody seems to have the answer , my GP just wants to pass the buck to a physio ........ at the moment only nurofen liquid tablets (with ibuprofen) seem to help.

I had a trapped nerve in my right arm(caused by using crutches) It didn't really cause any pain, but I lost the use of a couple of fingers and I couldn't put my middle and third fingers together. It looked like I was constantly giving the Vulcan greeting of "Live long and prosper"

They operated on it a couple of years ago and it's fine now. Hope you get it sorted soon Marco.

1 tramadol tablet and a gabapentin cap should ease the pain .
i went to A+E feb 2006 with shooting pains down my arm . was told it was a slipped disc trapping a nerve root and started 3 months of intensive physiotherapy with a spine specialist at the same hospital . after 3 month pain was still there . finally managed to get a CT scan and was told i had 5 tumours growing out of my spine , 4 of which were cancerous , 3 of which were growing against nerve roots . get a second oppinion marco , i wish i did .
now , do you feel better after reading this ?
seriously , go and see your G.P A.S.A.P for pain relief/blood test/scans . if you have a high serum level in your blood it might need investigating further ?
best of luck .

cheers lads esp Mamba as thats what was diagnosed 'tennis elbow' the nurse said it could be down to using a keyboard 'BEWARE' really wouldn't wish this on anyone even Sir Alex

It's funny you should say that as my problem seems to escalated over the last few years since i got a computer ....... it could be that hours spent usin' the keyboard has not done me any favours , doesn't do much for your posture either!
